Working in hospitality is not easy, that is why they have entire university degrees dedicated to it. It’s not just the mechanics of running a huge hotel or something like that, but it’s dealing with guest services. This front desk employee was about to break after working a long high-booking rate weekend. The prices were actually close to double than what they usually charge because of how many people book this particular weekend. Great for business, but bad for employees who have to deal with entitled guests. This hotel staff had to deal with so many complaints and annoying guests that week, that they were about to lose it. Luckily, they encountered a family that very much could have taken the usual path of being total Karens. But, instead, they were respectful and helpful. The employee could’ve cried from relief, but instead, he gave them a juicy discount that helped both of them out in the long run!
