Jessica Williams Says Urkel Didn’t Do 9/11 in Her Return to ‘The Daily Show’

Donald Trump is doing just about anything to try and distract the American (and international) media from his increasingly-likely involvement with the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking ring. Jon Stewart has been tasked with breaking down just how it’s been going. And let’s be honest, not much is working, but Trump isn’t a take-no-for-an-answer kind of guy. Obviously. So, instead of accepting defeat or just shutting up, he’s been talking to reporters and posting on Truth Social.

He’s gone after Coca-Cola and tariffs and re-named NFL teams. But none of that has reached the level of insolence or racism that Trump typically operates on. To do that, the sitting president of the United States decided to go after civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (by releasing classified FBI documents about King) and President Obama (by posting a meme portraying Obama as O.J. speeding away in his infamous white Ford Bronco, with JD Vance and Trump in hot pursuit as the cops).

Considering Trump can’t do anything in half measures, he’s continued to post about which of the country’s most prominent Black citizens he wants investigated or arrested as a way to obfuscate the fact that he spent a well-documented amount of time hanging out with the most famous pedophile on the planet. Trump’s current attack list consists of Beyoncé, Oprah, Al Sharpton and former Vice President Kamala Harris.

On Monday night’s episode of The Daily Show, Stewart thankfully didn’t have to handle this latest distraction tactic single-handedly. Instead, viewers got a very nostalgic treat: Emmy-nominated star of Shrinking and former TDS correspondent Jessica Williams made a guest appearance about 16 minutes into Stewart’s Monday night monologue.

“No, oh, no, no, no,” Williams burst in, to great applause. “Not Beyonce, Jon. That is some bullshit right there.”

There was a bit of banter between Stewart and Williams here, which, despite the subject matter, was nice to see. They had a great dynamic back when Williams was on the show.

“I am here because I have had it with Trump. He’s got to come clean about Epstein. I am sick of this,” she explained. “Trump is trying to throw every Black person he can think of in front of the scandal to distract us. … He’s coming after all of our greatest Black people.”

It was Williams in her finest TDS form — quick, expressive and witty. “Trump is going to target every exceptional Black person he can think of,” she accurately assessed. “We’re about a week away from him saying that Urkel did 9/11.”

“Did he do that?” Stewart asked, echoing Urkel’s famous catchphrase.

“No, Jon, no he didn’t. He was nowhere near the towers that day. He was nowhere near them,” Williams responded.

Great joke. Let’s just hope it doesn’t give our desperate commander-in-chief any ideas.
